Cmmunity Engagement & Marketing: Create and manage strategic partnerships with lcal and natinal nn-prfit and fr-prfit rganizatins t: encurage diverse dialgue arund themes f plays, increase cmpany s awareness amng general public, elevate the rganizatin s standing in the artistic cmmunity, and fster new audiences with a special emphasis n reaching peple f clr and yunger audiences; regularly represent the rganizatin at public events including galas, meetings, panels, and perfrmances, and in the media; and wrk clsely with Marketing Directr n creating cntent fr print and digital marketing campaigns, engaging artists in marketing activities, and brainstrming new initiatives t increase ticket sales, rganizatinal visibility, and audience engagement. 2 cntemprary wrk, placing lcal artists at the center f the cmpany s artistic practice while maintaining and strengthening the cmpany s natinal reach and recgnitin. This new visin has becme lcally and natinally-recgnized and praised, while eliminating upwards f $50,000 in nw unnecessary prducing expenses. Led curatin, planning, hiring, and prducing f seasn with a fcus n racial and gender diversity, radical inclusin f lcal talent, cllabrative wrk with staff, early and efficient planning, and fiscal respnsibility. The seasn features less upfrnt prducing and staffing csts than the tw mst recent seasns; have upwards f 70% lcal artists wrking at City Theatre; include slidified artistic partnerships that expand the reach f diverse cllabratrs and cnstituents engaging with the making and experiencing f City s wrk; and all creative teams will have diversity f race and gender fr the first time in the cmpany s histry. The seasn was als fully planned by March 2018 allwing fr mre efficient and effective budgeting, cntracting, and scheduling, as well as mre creativity and specificity in prducing chices. Oversaw all facets f all prductins in the seasn, including mnitring the wrk f the seasn s guest artists, setting clear expectatins f what excellence, efficiency, and success at City Theatre mean, and ffering critical versight f their wrk. Wrked clsely and cllabratively with Managing Directr in strategic planning and guidance f rganizatin in bth shrt-term and lng-term ways, including regular meetings and cnversatins abut budgeting, prgramming, develpment, marketing, cmmunity engagement, and staff management. Repaired and restructured the previusly brken relatinship between the Artistic and Prductin Departments, streamlining wrkflw and cmmunicatin by: instituting new reprting, meeting, and schedule structures; setting clear expectatins fr excellence; inspiring deepened pride in the wrk by purpsefully sharing the artistic visin with the staff that will be implementing it early n; purpseful hiring f warm and cllabrative guest artists and ensuring that they respect and value City staff at all times; and being an pen cllabratr that genuinely respects staff s expertise and time. Led t staff mrale and prductivity being at an all-time high, with prductins being designed and built weeks ahead f time and mre cst-effective budgeting.
