From reporting she moved into the production side of newspapers, revelling in the tight deadlines and cut-and-thrust of a Fleet Street newsroom in London. But the world was beckoning, so she upped sticks and landed in Sydney, where she worked across all the major papers before getting the call she d been waiting for to help launch GRAZIA in Australia. Next up was the editorship of NW, followed by four years as Executive Editor on Woman s Day. For Lisa, launching YOURS felt like coming home. The perfect feelgood blend of inspirational stories, thoughtprovoking lifestyle and community hub. Lisa is happy hosting reader events, chatting about stories on radio and oversees the Club pages, ensuring she s across exactly what makes her readers tick. Ruth McCarthy s magazine career has spanned over 16 years. She s worked across numerous monthly, fortnightly and weekly titles in the UK before moving to Australia in 2007 to work on the major real-life weekly magazine Take 5. There she spent eight and a half years as News and Features Editor. In January 2016 Ruth joined the newly established YOURS magazine as Deputy Editor. Since then she has used her experience as a real-life, lifestyle and celebrity journalist and editor to source and produce engaging real-life narrative; secure celebrity cover stories, interviews and train a wonderfully talented team of journalists. Ruth oversees the real-life, entertainment, books and travel sections of YOURS and has been a guiding hand behind new and successful initiatives such as the Grandparents of the Year and Bring Back the Letter campaigns. An experienced and brilliant creative, Fleur Anson has been on board YOURS since the start. Her trademark elegant layouts and typography are crucial to the brand s direction. Fleur has travelled the world during her 25-year career, art directing magazines for ACP, Pacific Magazines, News Limited and Bauer Media as well as North South in London and Munich, across lifestyle, food, fashion, health and motoring. She s worked closely with clients to create custom solutions, including David Jones, Ikea, Sydney Motor Group, Domayne, Destination NSW, Channel 7 and Sydney Festival. From editorial and advertorial layouts, to photography direction and styling, creating eye-catching covers and point of sale and running the art department, Fleur is a multitasking highly skilled professional. When she s not working, she enjoys photography, interior design, architecture, drawing, beautiful landscapes, the beach and the ocean. With two decades experience working as a journalist and publicist in Australia, Alicia knows what women want from the brands they engage with. Women of all ages want to feel like insiders, ready to share with friends that fresh new style tip, inspiring health secret or brilliant recipe they just read about, Alicia says. This belief has shaped Alicia s career which includes being published by Woman s Day, beautyheaven, InStyle, The Sydney Morning Herald, The Daily Telegraph and The Courier-Mail. Alicia has also worked as a copywriter and organised events for Chopard, Weleda, John Frieda, Ecoya and Jbronze by Jennifer Hawkins. Sarah Sayers has always had an affinity with aesthetics, an appreciation that has allowed her to speak to global beauty entrepreneurs one day and fashionable women on the street the next! She made her start in 2011 writing online beauty and fashion content for madison magazine.
