6 Bi Casi Beals Casandra cmpleted her B.S. in Music Perfrmance frm the University f Suthern Maine in Originally frm Bar Harbr, ME area, she has perfrmed in many ensembles including the Munt Desert Summer Chrale Orchestra, Bates Cllege Symphny Orchestra, and The Rdney Marsalis Philadelphia Big Brass. She has als perfrmed in Masterclasses with trumpet legends such as Ryan Anthny (Dallas Symphny Orchestra) Jens Lindemann (frmerly with the Canadian Brass Quintet), Jse Sibaja (Bstn Brass), and the internatinally renwned Wyntn Marsalis. She is currently the music and band directr at Riverview Charter Schl here in Beaufrt and plays with the Lwcuntry Wind Symphny and varius ensembles, brass quintets, brass chirs, and prductins thrughut the Lwcuntry and Greater Savannah, GA area. Bi Andre Rakus Andre Rakus began his musical studies with the vilin at the age f five. At eight years f age, he attended St. Michael s Chir Schl in Trnt, Canada adding vice and pian t his studies. During high schl at St. Michael s Cllege Schl in Trnt, he studied trumpet. While attending St. Paschal Bayln Rman Cathlic Church in Thrnhill, Ontari he met the late British cncert rganist, Stanley Arthur King, under whm he studied rgan frm the age f twelve. At thirteen, Mr. Rakus became Assistant Organist at St. Paschal s. At seventeen, he began directing a variety f chral grups including Junir, Yuth, Senir and Massed chirs bth fr wrship and cncerts. He hlds the Assciate and Licentiate Diplmas in rgan, bth With Distinctin, frm Trinity Cllege, Lndn U.K. He als hlds a Bachelr f Arts, Bachelr f Educatin, and Registered Nurse Diplma. Prir t accepting a full time Music Directr/Organist psitin in the USA, Andre was studying twards a Master f Sacred Music at Emmanuel Cllege at the University f Trnt, where he was awarded the Billes Thelgical Supprt Entrance Schlarship. He plans t cntinue his studies in the future. A Fellw f tw learned scieties fr musicians, Andre was awarded the Barwell Pian Student Schlarship frm the Ryal Canadian Cllege f Organists. In additin, Mr. Rakus was awarded the 2008 Lillian Frsyth Natinal Organ Schlarship frm Knx Presbyterian Church, Ottawa. He has als studied under the late William Turnbull, and William Maddx. He is currently the Full Time Directr f Music and Organist at St. Peter s Cathlic Church in Beaufrt, Suth Carlina. He has perfrmed twice fr ORGANIX (the annual rgan festival in Trnt, ON), at Washingtn Natinal Cathedral (Washingtn DC), St. Paul s Episcpal Cathedral (Buffal, NY), Metrplitan United Church the largest rgan in Canada (Trnt, ON), mst recently with the Lwcuntry Wind Symphny (Beaufrt SC), t name a few f many appearances. He cntinues t perfrm regularly in bth Canada and the USA. In additin, he gives dedicatry and anniversary recitals n new and restred instruments and perfrms with ther slists. He, tgether with his wife Bbbi (wh als sings), als play in the percussin sectin with the Lwcuntry Wind Symphny. Andre has a fan page n Facebk which lists upcming cncerts.
