2 at the Nichlas Music Center. Faculty news Marc Stasi, jazz pian Hear Marc live in cncert with the Rutgers Alumni Wind Symphny perfrming Gershwin s Rhapsdy in Blue! Marc will be featured in the Rutgers Alumni Wind Symphny s cncert this Saturday, December 21, 2013, 7:30pm, in the Nichlas Music Center. Jnathan Ppham, cell instructr Cngratulatins t Jnathan, recipient f a Fullbright Grant t pursue studies in Austria during the Academic Year! Peter Saleh, Rutgers Yuth Percussin Ensemble Directr Peter designed and led a series f percussin wrkshps held this past fall. Of the Percussin Mck Auditin wrkshp, Peter writes: Our first Percussin Mck Auditin wrkshp held n December 7th in the newly built Shindell Hall and was a tremendus success. Nine highly mtivated NJ and NY students age participated in a wrkshp t hne their skills fr regin, all state, and cllege auditins. Extensin divisin faculty member and Rutgers Yuth Percussin Ensemble directr Peter Saleh alng with fellw Exit 9 Percussin Grup member and MGSA alumnus Ken Riehman led a jampacked 3 hur sessin where all players gt a chance t bth test their wn and bserve thers' perfrming abilities in the cntext f a blind rchestra auditin and an interactive, cllege style auditin. All players were als prvided with recrdings f their individual perfrmances and the grup wrap up sessin as well as insightful "hw t" materials given ut nly t thse in attendance at the clinic s as t maximize their learning experience. Leighann Narum, classical guitar instructr Rutgers University's Arts Live Fall 2013 presented the Narum Berger Du in cncert n the Rutgers Newark Campus at the Paul Rbesn Galleries, Main Gallery n Wednesday, Nvember 20, 2013, 12:30 2 p.m. The Du, classical guitarist Leighann Narum and flautist Sara J. Berger presented a prgram titled "Inspiratin frm ur Ancestrs, music fr guitar and flute.. The cncert featured cmpsers frm the USA, France, Venezuela and Argentina. Pamela Stein, vice and musicianship training instructr Pam is a Bard member f Mata Yung Cmpser s Nw! and has been instrumental in the creatin f the Mata Jr. Yung Cmpser s Cmpetitin. MATA Jr. seeks t present cmpsers wh have nt yet entered cllege fr perfrmance as part f MATA Jr., a new initiative in cllabratin with the Kaufman Music Center s Face the Music. Tmk Harada, pian faculty Natinal League f Perfrming Arts, Ms. Tmk Harada, Directr (and Yung Artist Prgram Faculty Member!) The Extensin Divisin and Yung Artist Prgram are pleased t supprt the Natinal League f Perfrming Arts, an rganizatin funded and directed by faculty member Tmk Harada. Dance Educatin Prgram), the Dance Cnservatry has expanded int Junir and Senir levels. Dancers ages wrking twards cllegiate study and/r careers in dance will nw be able t experience the same wrld class curriculum and instructin prvided in develpmentally apprpriate classes.
