Make use of i properly afer reading hrough he manual carefully. Be sure o deliver he manual o he end user. Moreover, he end user should keep he manual a hand afer reading i over. This manual is inended for echnical expers o read. The conens of he manual may subjec o change wihou noice. I

5 For safe operaion Be sure o read his manual before use. 1. Insallaion place Use he insrumen where he emperaure/humidiy specifies wihin he range as follows: Environmenal emperaure Environmenal humidiy : : Less han 85 %R.H.Non condensing. 6 1 1. Insallaion When insalling he insrumen, insall as referring o he following figures and secure he space around he insrumen. Each dimension of he insrumen and required dimensions for he environmenal spaces are as follows: < Dimensions for insallaion > fron 100 side rear M4 panel cu Uni :mm IV

7 2. Power supply Before supplying he power, check ha he indicaion of power supply/specificaion for he insrumen and he power going o supply should be he same. If hey are no equal, conac wih Minebea. If you use he insrumen wihou checking hem, i may cause a damage in he insrumen or elecric shock o he operaor. Warning In order o preven from a damage o he insrumen and elecric shock o he operaor, be sure o check ha power supply is off when insalling each cable. Earh wire should be grounded securely. When earh wire is no conneced, i may cause a malfuncion of he insrumen or elecric shock o he operaor. 3. Applicaion Noes Warning Before using a new insrumen or exchanging he srain gage applied ransducer for a new one, be sure o make calibraion. If calibraion shall no be made, correc measured resuls may no be obained nor which may cause malfuncion in he insrumen and here may exis damage in peripheral equipmens. Besides, even hough calibraion has been made, here may occur he similar case when he resul is no correc, so make calibraion again. Warning In case of using he insrumen, check ha he connecions are execued properly. If no conneced properly, correc measured resul will no be obained, nor i may cause malfuncions of he insrumen, damage o he peripheral equipmens or even more serious acciden. Warning When change of seing is made carelessly on he insrumen during measuremen, i may cause malfuncion in he insrumen and also possibiliies of damage in peripheral insrumens. V

13 1 General The insrumen is a digial momen limier for a Movable ype of crane and a crane. Suspending load can be deeced wih he load cell and also jib angle (Working radius) can be deeced wih he Angle deecor aached, hen hese signals can be compued hrough he micro compuer. The processed daa shall be oupu as alarm signals. 1 1 Feaures Main feaures of he insrumen are as follows: (1) The following changes can be made for crane pariculars. Load cell: 13 Momen: 130 Jib: 130 Range : 30 (Jib Luffing mehod: Change of compensaion daa will be 112.) (2) The momen curve can be regisered wih 15 poins of opional plos (Working radius/load value) oher han wih he COS curve. However, hey are he following changes. Warning In he case of connecing wih he insrumen, sricly follow he following iems. If negleced, hey may cause unexpeced fauly and damage of he insrumen. When connecing, be sure o make he power supply OFF. The connecor plug should be fixed securely unil i rocked, so ha no o loosen due o vibraion and so on. For he connecion of power supply, ake care no o misake is polariy. 13

29 5 Calibraion mehod Warning When he insrumen is under he following condiions, be sure o make calibraion. When newly purchased. Exchanging load cell(s) or angle deecor(s) Periodical inspecion When repair and exchange is required. Afer clearing he memory If calibraion is no made, correc measured resuls may no be obained, or i may cause malfuncion o he insrumen and i may damage o he peripheral equipmen. Take care fully when you handle he sandard weighs for calibraion purpose. Beside Minebea shall no ake any responsibiliy excep for he acciden due o he direc operaion of he insrumen. Be sure o check he wirings before making calibraion. The calibraion should be made according o he insrucion of his manual. The calibraion should be made when here is no load applied on he load cell(s). Prepare he Sandard weigh for calibraion ha can validae he evidence of is accuracy fully. 30 5 1 Preparaion According o he Chaper 4 Connecing mehod, connec he insrumen, a load cell and an angle deecor properly and supply power. 5 2 ZERO adjusmen on Working radius 1 2 Procedure Operae he jib so ha he working radius will sop he posiion where you can measure easily and hen fix i. Measure he disance from he slewing cener o jus below he hook, hen compare wih he display of working radius of he insrumen. *When he comparaive resul is good, proceed o he sep 7. *When he comparaive resul is differen, proceed o he sep 2. In he Funcion mode, execue he ZERO adjusmen on he working radius. Press on hekey for 3 seconds or more. Lifing load display secion will become F Funcion No., and he digi will flash on and off. Wih re operaion of hekey, he Measuremen mode shall be reurned. Slewing cener Working radius Se he funcion No. o F 08. 31 Procedures 4 Press hekey. The flashing of Funcion No. will sop and RZ display will be shown on he Working radius secion. Moreover, he working radius shall be displayed on he Monior secion and all he digis will flash on and off. Wih he keys in he righ figure, make adjusmen so ha he he working radius display will become he same value as he measured value acually. By pressing he keys in he righ figure, he display will vary coninuously. (Wih re operaion of hekey, reurns o he sep 3.) : Incremen key for values : Decremen key for values Error display E15 In he Measuremen mode, you are going o execue he operaion when he working radius is over condiion. By pressing hekey, he Measuremen mode shall be reurned, so execue he operaion afer cancelling he over condiion. Press on hekey. The funcion No. on he Lifing load secion will proceed o flashing display of F09, and ZERO adjusmen on he working radius shall be compleed Press on hekey. The working radius shall be displayed in he Measuremen mode, so compare wih he measured value acually. Operae he jib and check ha he display of working radius and he measured value acually shall be he same by changing he radius for a few cases. 19

32 5 3 ZERO adjusmen on he lifing load The funcion will no be used for he Jib Luffing wire ension deecive ype. I ll give you an error display of. Procedures 1 In he Funcion mode, execue he ZERO adjusmen of he Lifing load. Remove he iniial load of hook, bucke and so on, and hen ighen he jib wih he angle ha can lif he raed load. Press hekey for more han 3 seconds. The Lifing load display secion will become F** (Funcion No.) and he digi of will flash on and off. Wih re operaion of hekey, he Measuremen mode can be reurned.) Se he Funcion No. o F05 wih he keys in righ figure. (Wih re operaion of hekey, he Measuremen mode can be reurned.) 2 : Decremen key for flashing display : Incremen key for flashing display : Shif(Carry) key for flashing display secion 20

33 Procedures Press on hekey. The flashing display of Funcion will sop and ZRO shall be displayed on he working radius secion. Moreover, he lifing load shall be shown on he Monior secion and all he digis will flash on and off. Make adjusmen on he lifing load by referring o he keys in he righ. When he righ keys are pressed on coninuously, he display will also change coninuously. 3 Reurns o he sep 2 by re operaion of he key. When he load value varies by lifing up and lifing down, inpu he Lif up Signal and make ZERO adjusmen, and aferwards make ZERO adjusmen by inpuing he Lif down Signal. : Incremen key for values : Decremen key for values Error display You are going o execue he operaion when he lifing load is over condiion in he Measuremen mode. By pressing on hekey, he Measuremen mode can be reurned so make he operaion afer cancelling he over condiion. Press on hekey. The Funcion No. on he lifing load secion will become he flashing display of F06, and he ZERO adjusmen of lifing load shall be compleed. 4 5 Press on hekey. Reurns o he Measuremen mode. 21

34 5 4 SPAN adjusmen on lifing load The funcion will no be used for he Jib Luffing wire ension deecive ype. I ll give you an error display of. Procedures 1 In he Funcion mode, execue he SPAN adjusmen of lifing load. Lif he raed load or he weigh of viciniy of mass of raed load (equivalen good) a he jib angel ha can lif up, and hen susain i. Press on hekey for more han 3 seconds coninually. The Lifing load display secion will become F** (Funcion No.) and he digi of will flash on and off. By re operaion of hekey, he Measuremen mode shall be reurned.) Se he Funcion No. o F06 wih he keys in he righ figure. When hekey is pressed, he Measuremen mode shall be reurned, so make he operaion afer cancelling he over condiion. i You re going o execue he operaion wih no lifing load o be measured. By pressing on hekey, he Measuremen mode can be reurned, so make he operaion afer lifing required weighs or he like. Press on hekey.
